Manual Powder Coating Line For Small Batches & Fast Color Changes
Entry-level powder coating line designed for factories that need many colors, frequent model changes and controlled investment — without sacrificing coating quality.
Typical line capacity
Up to 200 sets / shift
Best for
Small batches & many colors
What Is a Manual Powder Coating Line?
A manual powder coating line is a complete but compact system where operators handle parts and apply powder coating by hand. It normally includes a manual powder booth, a curing oven, racks or trolleys and basic pretreatment steps.
Instead of a continuous conveyor and fully automatic guns, a manual line focuses on flexibility and simple operation. It is ideal for factories with many models, small batch sizes and frequent color changes.
A well-designed manual line still follows professional powder coating standards — only with much more flexibility and a lower investment level.

Is a Manual Powder Coating Line Right for Your Factory?
Manual powder coating lines are the right choice when flexibility and fast changeovers matter more than fully automatic high-volume production.
Many models and small batches – daily production is split into many different products, sizes and quantities.
Frequent color changes – customers request different RAL colors and textures, so fast color switching is critical.
Limited space and budget – workshop space and investment need to be controlled, but you still want an in-house coating line.
Testing the market or new product lines – ideal for launching new products or bringing outsourced coating back in-house.

How a Manual Powder Coating Line Works – Step by Step
Even with manual handling and manual guns, a professional manual line still follows the standard powder coating process.
-
1. Loading & Surface Preparation
Operators hang parts on racks or place them on trolleys. Surfaces are checked for oil, rust and welding residue. -
2. Manual Pretreatment / Cleaning
Parts are degreased and cleaned by hand, or processed through small spray / dip systems, then rinsed if necessary. -
3. Drying / Pre-heating
Parts enter a drying or pre-heating oven until the surface is completely dry and ready for powder. -
4. Manual Powder Application
Operators use powder guns inside the manual booth to apply coating, adjusting settings for different shapes and film thickness. -
5. Curing
Racks or trolleys move parts into the curing oven. Time and temperature follow powder supplier recommendations. -
6. Cooling, Inspection & Packing
Finished parts cool down, are inspected and tested if needed, then move to packing or assembly.
