More Than a Booth and an Oven

In Ketu’s definition, a powder coating line is a complete material-flow system. It connects pretreatment, drying, powder coating and curing with conveyor, hangers and operators to form one stable process that runs every day on your factory floor.

  • Designed from your real products, takt time and plant layout – not just catalog drawings.

  • Each module (pretreatment, booth, oven, conveyor) is sized and matched as one system.

  • Energy consumption, manpower and quality are all visible and controllable.

  • Solve shielding on edges and corners
  • Uniform film thickness on long profiles
  • Line concepts for 6–7 m or longer pieces

Choose the Right Line Configuration

From manual to fully automatic powder coating lines, we match the technology level with your output, labor and product mix.

One Concept – Four Configurations

All four line configurations follow the same core logic: stable material flow, matched modules and clear takt time. The difference is automation level, investment and required manpower.

  • Manual lines – flexible, low investment, ideal for small batches and many colors.
  • Semi-automatic lines – add conveyor and basic automation while keeping flexibility.
  • Fully automatic lines – for stable, high-volume series and minimum labor per part.
  • Hybrid solutions – combine automatic zones with manual stations for complex parts.
Different powder coating line configurations
Manual powder coating line

Manual Lines

Ideal for small batches, many colors and flexible product mix in job shops or start-up factories.

  • Manual spray booth with recovery
  • Batch or short-loop conveyor
  • Compact curing oven
Best when output is limited but product variety is high.
Manual powder coating line

Semi-Automatic Lines

For factories upgrading from purely manual coating while keeping investment under control.

  • Continuous overhead conveyor
  • Manual + automatic guns
  • Integrated oven and basic pretreatment
A balanced step between manual operations and full automation.
Most Popular Manual powder coating line

Fully Automatic Lines

For high-volume, stable product series where output, consistency and low labor cost are critical.

  • Continuous conveyor or power & free
  • Multi-stage spray pretreatment
  • Automatic guns and recipe control
  • Gas or electric curing oven
Designed as long-term production assets in core factories.
Manual powder coating line

Hybrid Solutions

Combine automatic zones for main products with manual stations for complex or low-volume parts.

  • Automatic sections for repeat parts
  • Manual touch-up / special racks
  • Reuse of existing equipment possible
Ideal for factories with mixed product families and changing orders.

FAQ About Powder Coating Lines

Some of the most common questions engineering and purchasing teams ask when planning a new line.

How do we choose between manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic lines?
We look at your target output, labor availability and product mix. Many colors and small batches often point to manual or semi-automatic lines. Stable, high-volume series with limited color changes usually benefit from fully automatic lines.
Can you reuse part of our existing powder coating line?
In many projects, yes. After seeing photos and basic data we can evaluate whether it is meaningful to keep your existing conveyor, oven or booths and upgrade only specific modules, or whether a new line is more economical in the long term.
What information do you need for a detailed proposal?
At minimum: product photos or drawings, max/min size and weight, target output per day or shift, plant layout (with columns and clear height), and your local energy situation (gas, electricity, steam).
How long does installation and commissioning normally take?
For standard projects, installation and commissioning usually take several weeks after equipment arrival, depending on line size and civil work readiness. We will provide a project schedule together with the quotation.
