What Is a Drying Oven and Why Do You Need It?
A drying oven is a heated chamber installed immediately after the pretreatment line.
After parts go through degreasing, rinsing and conversion coating, water droplets remain in recesses,
joints and complex geometries. If you powder coat wet parts, you will see coating defects.
The drying oven solves this problem by:

Heating parts to 80-120°C to evaporate surface water quickly -
Creating controlled airflow to carry moisture away from the chamber -
Ensuring parts enter the coating booth completely dry -
Preventing pinholes, bubbles and adhesion failures in the final coating
⚠️ What happens without a drying oven?
Water trapped in recesses will turn to steam when the part enters the curing oven, causing pinholes,
bubbles and poor adhesion. Many coating failures can be traced back to insufficient drying.
